Consignment Finds

I love going into my local consignment store to browse. Recently, I've found some really good deals on vintage Dooney and Bourke purses. So far, I've only purchased two. I couldn't pass up on such good deals! One is a bright red leather over & under cross-body bag and the other is a forest green ostrich leather purse. Below are front and back pictures of the red one (courtesy of http://www.horsekeeping.com/).

I'll have to post pictures of the green one later.
Have you found anything good at your consignment store recently?

Bunnies and Boots

Thanks to Common Sense With Money's tip on checking out markdowns in Target's Bullseye Bodega section I skipped over to my local Target to take a look for myself. Items were indeed on clearance, so I picked up some yummy and healthy snacks. I was excited to see brands like Kashi, Annie's, and Larabar on sale since they don't go on sale too often.

Some of my finds:

-Annie's All-Natural Variety Snack Packs (14 ct) for $4.88 a box, making each bag $0.35 each, a better deal than amazon.com ($20 for a box of 30).

-Larabar bars (8 ct-4 chocolate chip brownie & 4 peanut butter choco chip) for $6.80 a box, making it $0.85 a bar. Not a bad deal, but I might wait for it to go on further clearance.

-Kashi Go Lean Crunch Honey Almond Flax Cereal (2 box bundle) for $4.92, making each box $2.46. It includes coupons for other Kashi products, which is always nice.

-Kashi TLC Oatmeal Dark Chocolate Soft-Baked Cookies (2-8.5 oz boxes) for $3.48, making each box $1.74. I thought this was by far the best deal as these are my favorite cookies and they're normally $3 something a box.

-General Mills Multi-Grain Cherrios (2 box bundle) for $4.66, making each box $2.33. Not a bad deal, but you may be able to get this cheaper at your local grocery store with double coupons.

While scouring the store for other clearance items, I was happy to stumble upon Boots items on sale! The well known London pharmacy has a whole line of products for Target. On clearance were items from Boots' Original Beauty Formula in beautiful, display worthy, vintage glass bottles and jars. There were also items from the Power of Plants Botanics line as well.

-Skin Tonic in damask rose (5 oz bottle) $5.58
-Hand Cream (1.5 oz) $5.58
-Body Cream (6.7 oz) $6.98
-Organic Body Lotion $6.28

I used the skin tonic this morning and it left my face feeling refreshed and was not harsh on my skin like some other toners. I liked the light floral scent.
